چکیده

The interest in agent based technologies in the sense of distributed computing is continuously increasing in academic and industrial research and development. But the concentration of research in distinct niches has lead to a lack of consensus regarding basic concepts of agent theory and their relation to the development of agent systems and applications. This gap between theory and practice has been recognized and many research groups focus on the relation of formal specification methods for agent properties to the design of practical multi agent systems (MAS). In this paper we describe the design and implementation of CASA, a multi agent specification language that builds on an existing formal agent specification approach [13] and extends it by concepts from concurrent logic programming. With CASA it is possible to design agents with complex behavior patterns (e.g. parallel strategies, speculative computations). Application areas of CASA agents are manufacturing systems, robotics and intelligent user interfaces.

Intelligent Agent Based Mapping of Software Requirement Specification to Design Model

Automatically mapping a requirement specification to design model in Software Engineering is an open complex problem. Existing methods use a complex manual process that use the knowledge from the requirement specification/modeling and the design, and try to find a good match between them. The key task done by designers is to convert a natural language based requirement specification (or corresp...

Eine modulare Architektur für dienstbasierte Interaktionen zwischen Agenten

Computer networks like the Internet provide a novel infrastructure bearing new possibilities for the realisation of service platforms, while raising new requirements as well. XSTEP: A Markup Language for Embodied Agents

In this paper we propose an XML-based markup language, called XSTEP, for embodied agents, based on the scripting language STEP. Thus, XSTEP is the XML-based successor of STEP. STEP is developed on the formal semantics of dynamic logic, and has been implemented in the distributed logic programming language DLP, a tool for the implementation of 3D web agents. In this paper, we discuss the issues ...
